Another disgraceful theft! It becomes clear that Sam knew very little about Buddhism.Only what anyone could read if he had access to books.
I remember hearing sometime, Sam said he was a member of a "Sacred Order of Tibet", one of 201 members that met in the internal worlds of the Himalayas etc, and yet he knew no Tibetan language, all the terms he gives in his books are of Sanskrit origin.
Not only that but he does not refer to a single lama by name.
More interestingly however is that as he was supposed to be a member of this "esoteric order" (so esoteric they cannot be found
) I would expect him,as the 'maitreya buddha', to be aware of the highest teaching in Tibetan buddhism, known as Dzogchen or Great Perfection, but to my surprise he makes no mention of this. Maybe this is related to the fact of almost no material had been translated from Tibetan by the time of Sam's death.
Maybe I am wrong, can any gnostics help me with this?
